Nellas is brought before Thingol
Added 2015-11-04 07:35:43 +0000 UTCA commission for Wiltraud that developed a life it its own. I had never drawn Nellas, so when I thought about how to portray her, I thought of what we know about her - a simple, free spirit, more at home in trees than at court - and it was clear to me that she had to look like my daughter, so I gave her a head full of bushy, curly hair. I underlined her fairy-like nature with a tail skirt like in those old fairy paintings.
