laziness mostly :) the reason I used to do it every-time is because I used to film with my phone which for some reason had slightly variable framerate during the shot. my new camera however holds down 30 or 60fps constantly (in other words if I didn't do the image sequence thing back in the day it would have guaranteed probelms)
