Hey guys. I had a family bereavement yesterday; I'm going to take the weekend off, and get back to dev work on Monday.
I want to say thanks to everybody for all the insightful feedback on 1.12, here, in PMs and on Discord. I've been reading everything and your thoughts and ideas have helped shape my thinking on 1.13.
In terms of game dev, this week was good: I'm currently busy doing lots of writing and planning for version 1.13.
One improvement I've made to my working process is something I learned from 1.12: when a scene is stuck or not working for some reason, it can be more productive to go for a walk and a think instead of just sitting at the keyboard trying to grind out better words. (It's hard to write your way out of problems you thought your way into.) Doing that on Wednesday helped me fix some structural problems that had crept into the 1.13 storyboard and should speed up the overall delivery.
Okay, that's it for this week, but I'll be back to work on Monday morning and will report on progress next week.
