Sprint 004 day 3

Hey guys!  I added lots more to the storyboard today; it's nearly done.  

The initiative system – which calculates who takes the lead at various points throughout the scene – is leading to some very interesting content.  The new storyboards allow the agent to be more active in the sex scenes, which makes the scenes feel more dynamic, more like an interaction of wills between two people.  I'm very excited about it.

This week has been unusually challenging because I've had lots of interruptions, both in my personal life and with the big final project I'm overseeing at my real job.  Despite that, however, it's been one of the most productive weeks I can remember.  I think part of the reason is that I took last weekend off – having some rest at the weekend gave me fresh energy and perspective to deal with the challenges of this week.

So I'm going to take a rest day tomorrow, in the hope that a day of rest will buff my productivity for all of next week.  But I'll work more on the game on Sunday.  See you then!

Yeah, it's tricky to get the balance right; the more design time the better the end result, but it's also easy to fall into the perfectionism trap.

Regarding initiative I'm trying to look past the D&D definition. Will submissiveness make someone who should have the initiative cede it to the other(s)? Will said submissive have ceding authority as part of a list of options available to them, and perhaps have other sub-oriented options on their 'action list'? And what about gang bangs? Are those accounted for in this system of yours?

This is all very interesting to read about. I occasionally worry that you're putting too much effort into all these stages. The only reason that is a worry is that I don't want you to burn out before getting into the story, and also because less-patient people might not see the progress. Howeves, this is the kind of groundwork that heartens me. Plus, if you lay all this groundwork it sounds like a lot of this could be re-used in future games.
