Preview/Update 14/03/21

Morning all. Have one last look at Dark ch23 before I post it later tonight.

I know it’s late, but this Dark chapter was brutal on me. I have a lot of trouble with Henry’s character for some reason. Still, I’m happy it’s only one day late, given how much trouble this draft gave me. I would have made today’s preview Blazing Trinity, but I’m currently revising what I wrote last year for this chapter, and I’m actually quite embarrassed at how bad this draft is so far. Not totally unworkable, but you could tell my heart wasn’t in it, so I’m doing some major revisions before I finish it. I’m hoping to have the draft done(ish) by next weekend. Then, after that I wanna finish up ch2 of Elfsekai. Actually, I’m making some revisions to ch1 of Elfsekai tonight after I finish the Dark chapter, so I may post a second draft of that later, too.

I don’t really think anything interesting has happened in the last week. I got a box of old out of print Warhammer wood elves in the mail, which have been pretty cool. Very stereotypically elfy-elves; leaf motifs, bows and arrows, hooded ranger cloaks. All that kinda fun stuff. I dig the aesthetic. I also picked up the MediEvil remake because it was dirt cheap, and it’s... it’s not bad. I miss the stuff they added in the PSP version. The plot just feels bare without the little genie in Dan’s empty skull constantly prattling on. Still fun, though. I kinda burned out on everything else I was playing. Persona 5 Strikers has the same problem that P4 Dancing All Night did; there’s a lot of dialogue and not a lot of game. So I’m taking a break from it. I’ll probably do like I did with P4 Dancing and end up playing it in bursts between other stuff. Oh, and Rob Zombie put out a new album. It’s actually pretty decent, which is rare for him because usually his albums only have one or two good songs on them. This was actually a decent listen, start to finish. Weird, as he always is, but decent.
