Preview/Update 104
Added 2020-11-22 08:50:44 +0000 UTCMorning, all! Hope we’re all well. Something a little different this time: a look at the original novel I’ve started writing! More on that later, though.
Okay, writing update: Blazing Trinity may be late, may not be. If it is late, it won’t be by much. I’ve got some polls planned for next month’s Dark chapter, I just have to wait until I get home to put them up (can’t do it from the mobile app for some infinitely frustrating reason). I’ve finished another scene of A matter of Pride, in which an Eldar ranger is accidentally propositioned. All good stuff.
So, my novel. Basically, I sat down the other day and decided I was sick of doom and gloom depressing stories, so I plan to make this novel a lot more uplifting in tone. It’s an adventure story in the vein of The Hobbit. There’s a great quest with far reaching consequences happening, and the main cast are just there because they think adventuring is neat. Fun times are afoot! I’m also planning to pay homage to a lot of Fire Emblem stuff that’s inspired me in it, too. So expect Easter eggs and references and all that fun stuff.
On a less fun note, I’ve hurt my back again, and I’m honestly feeling pretty low. This one was, if you’ll pardon the expression, the straw that broke the proverbial camel’s back. I’m talking with my doctor about going on the governmental disability pension until I can get this shit under control, because trying to work through it is honestly just making it worse. At the very least, I’m job hunting again, which sucks because I genuinely like my job. Plus side? More time to work on my novel!
