and just like that, Magna has completely ensnared Leo in her home, simply by having a very specific type of old-fashioned collectible.
(even though vinyl was popular again a little while back)
the usual tweaking is in play here! dialogue shifted a tiny bit, Magna's dialogue now hints at the fact that she herself is still pretty new to the apartment, though he learn a little more about that towards the end of the comic;
a little detail i decided to add is the little glass dome on the record player itself!
i don't usually draw it in the mini comics, though we DO see her record player has one on that ONE Mini-Comic where Leo paints over the teal background to reveal its TRUE colours and details, but again, i felt like adding it in this for that extra little touch of polish!
as for that final panel, i didn't like the original composition too much, so i went for something a little more visually interesting, in my opinion! not only that, i added a bit more dialogue to it too! i always imagined the record player at the apartment was one Magna originally had at her old place, but i changed it for the sketch pages to make it a brand new one. After giving it some thought so, i reverted that change, and kept it as her old player, since i think it adds more emotional value to both it and the records she has!
the final cherry on top are little references on the records~
i wasn't really sure what to do for these, since i'm gonna be drawing a ton of em a little later on, so i figured i'd just go with ol' reliable Ghostraptors, which has popped up a few times now, and as a little nod to the original comic title, the single we see Leo currently flicking through, is of course, Strangers in the Night~
