New Dye Sub Mesh

I had been using this mesh for a while on eyes, it worked out well but last night I saw the seller sent me a new mesh which clearly did not work for eyes.

The mesh here is the same one I have been using for a little while and had very few issues with it. The seller on etsy changed it to a different type that has giant holes and a weird weave which can be seen in this photo next to the old mesh I was using.

It made me panic when I contacted the seller and he said they had switched the mesh but did not think it was necessary to inform me. Sadly the newer mesh will just need to go into storage as I have no use for it at the moment, I tested it and the results were horrendous. But out of some bad news came good news. Rosco suggested this other company called Banner Buzz, he had ordered banners from them before and they used a totally different mesh, this was a sample he had in hand.

So I decided to test directly on this mesh, so I flipped it on the back where the mesh was still white, printed some dye sub eyes, heat pressed them on and got amazing results. Look how crisp these colors are on this style of mesh.

The black actually shows up as black and the colors are way more vivid this way. I printed these on the sawgrass dye sub printer and I am beyond happy with the results. Worked out way better with this mesh than the previous "good" mesh I was using.

The weave itself is a bit different but it does not interfere with the vision. You get as much vision as the last mesh used so no real difference. Since the eyes are dye sub the colors are 100% waterproof and permanent.

Tested the sample mesh on a head I was working on and the results were better than expected. So I am now buying my mesh here if you would like to do the same:

I buy a large banner and just ask them to print solid black. That way one side is black and the other side is white. I heat press on the white, but the other side already being black helps to see out of the mesh better.

Waiting on my big roll mesh and will report back on how it goes with this company.
