Project to test new techniques
Added 2021-11-30 20:05:07 +0000 UTCI want to change a few things that I currently do with my suits, but to do so I need to actually test it and see what works. This head is turning into a full prototype of sorts. It started as a canine print which was a variation of the ones I originally created for Megaplex. I changed the structure some, altered the nose, the eye lids/expression to create what you see now. Decided to cut out quite a few parts to make the head lighter overall which really helped while still staying pretty strong. Ditched making the heads thin and created varying thickness around the head and added more in areas where it would be under stress. Overall the head is light and easy to work with. Eyes are a big deal for me so testing a smaller eye look with the eyelid already built in. The newest print does have the eye section a bit more open to allow the customer to have even more vision.
Overall the prototype is a success. The newest print has quite a few little alterations that will make the next head even easier to work with.
Excited to share more on this project. Hopefully have it done sooner than later.
