Been learning how to print larger objects without flat bottoms and it has been interesting. Not quite there just yet but finally figuring out how things work. Printing minis is a breeze when it comes to resin printing, but when you print large you have to take other factors into account a lot more.
After talking to a patron and adjusting lift and cure time per layer I have come to the conclusion it is more about the angle I place the model and the supports I am doing. Once I took this one out I saw which supports gave out and it made sense why they did.
Going to go back to my file tonight, re angle it and create completely different supports (also completely avoid auto supports). Also curious about trying Prusa slicer and compare with Chitubox to see which I like best.

Lesson learned: Going overboard with supports doesn't solve the issue. I had to test to see what would happen but not quite what I expected. I learn from mistakes and share what works and what does not.
Though happy to say the fit of the mask will be pretty good so excited to get this print done correctly to start painting.

I stopped the print before it was done since it had failures already. The upper lips failed as all the supports detached. The bottom printed without an issue which I was happy about. Look at those chompers.
More printing tonight :)
