Fox Avatar for VR Chat - WIP
Added 2020-09-23 14:47:32 +0000 UTCSince finishing the wolf model and texture decided to use the same body but alter a few parts to turn it into a fox. Mostly changed: The head, eyes, jaw, tail, feet size and orientation, claws on the feet, altered the body by making it thinner and stretching it out and a few things around the arms and upper leg area.
Wanted slimmer digitigrade on this guy along with a few other features. Going to texture a few more parts of the body before calling it done such as the tail and upper and lower back. Learned a ton from the first avatar which I am implementing into this one.
Want to work on giving him some eyebrows and making the eyelids a bit more pronounced. It will help with expression and eye blink when he's animated. The more I go into VRC and see avatars move, interact and just exist in the world I can see what I like and don't like. It has been a good way to research how these models should be built and in turn move.
In a way building these has been like building a suit without the mess of materials. They take time/research, but once you have an idea and know how the tools work it's really fun. I still consider myself very new to blender and even Zbrush. Every time I work on these I learn something new, something to make my life easier. Will try to have this one done by this weekend as I want to texture it by Sunday and have this next avatar ready to rig soon.
Next VRC avatar will probably be a tiger, as I really want to model a big cat next.
