You see now why deserters from the Nights Watch are executed. So many of them are criminals avoiding punishment for their crimes that if they break their vow of service and leave the wall there are no more chances for them. I know Lady's death effects people but really the worse thing was having the butchers boy murdered. What will the Lannisters stop at if killing children is acceptable to them.

2025-08-13 17:22:03 +0000 UTCThe Nights Watch was an honor back in the day amongst the northern houses because there was a genuine fear of white walkers but since they’re now a myth the Nights Watch has become a joke where they send murderers and r*pists. It’s very very rare they get someone naive enough to sign up thinking it’s still an honor to live in the cold, kill wildlings, and have no family forever with no real threat.
