The original showrunner Frank Darabont had a different plan for Andrea until he got fired and he got replaced with Glen Mazzara, and clearly he did not like Andrea for whatever reason lol

Its a shame how she is treated for the show. They pretty much gave her comic traits to other characters on the show which I dont mind but still comic Andrea is a queen. Also she never hooks up with Shane either lol

After the group broke Free Michonne captured the Governor tying him up to a similar position to the trap room in this episode tortured the Governor gouging out his eye with a spoon, cutting off his you know what parts, drilling a hole in his shoulder and cutting off his hand and cauterizing the wound with a blowtorch
