I think stray kids are just portraying the very real toxic things that happen in a relationship when it doesn't work out, as well as the things that people go through when struggling with grief, loss, mental health, etc. In the mv they go through the motions of things people do to cope: drinking (lee know), overeating (I.N), isolation (han), depression (changbin), suicidal thoughts (bang chan), etc. I really respect SKZ for writing a song portraying the role of someone who admits to making mistakes and struggling with the aftermath of their actions. My favorite part, though, is when at the end of the mv they portray much more healthy ways of coping ( i.e. with symbols of the Blue Tree Project and by showing them all coming together to support and lean on eachother). Ty for this reaction ❤️.

2024-07-02 12:38:05 +0000 UTCSo, some say, stay concluded, theoretically, the music video depicts the effects of the pain to each members as follows: Chan: self hatred (looking at the mirror and then tried to drown himself) LeeKnow: drinking (alcoholic tendencies) to numb the pain (so you weren't wrong there lol) Changbin: depression (blue paint) Hyunjin: insisted to rebuild something that cannot be mend because it's already broken from the first place Han: denial Felix: suicide thoughts (throwing himself into train tracks) Seungmin: despondency IN: making food as a coping mechanism The video was heartbreaking and they veiled it well. Kudos to the storytelling. Btw Changbin wrote the song but those two lines were written by Chan and we (stay and skz) kept teasing him about it lol

2024-07-02 11:13:15 +0000 UTCI love this song. The lyrics are brutal but the song sounds so pretty and sad. The putting your head under water and screaming thing is an emotional release. I've done it before after a break up. It was a way for me to let out the anger and pain. I have trouble expressing those emotions and find it hard to just scream out loud like some people. The water muffles it so it's easier. If that makes sense.
