Phone Texting Works!
Added 2023-07-04 00:05:11 +0000 UTCText system up and running, integrated into code. I've added around 100 text messages to the history so far, though there will be hundreds more! The phone looks a bit different from the one in his hand here, and I might try to update the images to match it. Not super critical, but I do love consistency.

I also have to say, the guy who coded this helped me solve a big problem the original coder caused for me. He had DISABLED something called "developer mode" which is essential for troubleshooting and tweaking game functionality. Now it's fully working, thanks to my new RenPy coding contact!

Okay, I added a scrollbar to the phone text thing. Now you can scroll immediately to where you want. Before it might take you up to 30 seconds to go from the current messages to the earliest ones!

2023-07-06 00:18:58 +0000 UTCWhen my new friend was first coding this he had a vertical slider that would allow you to scroll through the messages faster than just dragging the screen. I told him I didn't need it, partially because it was ON the phone screen and took up valuable space. But now that I have nearly 300 entries in there with more to come, I'm thinking the slider is really needed. But I think I'd want it NEXT TO the phone rather than on the screen.
