PERFECT is the Enemy of the Good

Another reason I took such a long hiatus that I forgot to mention in my "I'm Back!" post is that Daz Studio released a new figure model: Genesis 9. You'll probably recall that there was a muscle morph product for the Genesis 8 Male figure that I experimented with. It's called Auto Muscle Enhancer HD. Amazing product that, if ported over to the female figure would have allowed Olivia to look like the muscle goddess she truly is! The guy who created it was 95% ready to release a version for Genesis 8 Female... when his wife passed away, causing him to drop it entirely and stop producing 3D products. I was able to use the male version to create an amazing ripped, muscular Olivia by jumping through a lot of hoops, but unfortunately the problems with clothing fit and textures (caused by using male morphs on a female figure) were too great to make it worth using for a visual novel where many outfit changes for characters are necessary.

The Genesis 9 figure is unisex, meaning that one base figure is used for both male and female characters, and it's only shape morphs that determine whether the individual is masculine or feminine. That made me think it's likely that any high definition muscle morph product made for the figure should work for both male and female characters. So that made me want to delay production until an HD muscle product was released for it. I could then re-do Olivia for the few still images in the first release where her body was more visible, and have a much more shredded, muscular ODLR for the future releases!

But so far, no muscle products have yet come out for Genesis 9!. When they finally do, they may be great, but there's no sense waiting any longer for it. I'll cross that bridge when it gets built.
