Some Kind of Virus 2.0 (AU Story - Chapter Two)

AAAAH okay. Okay. I read the update the moment I got home from uni, and it was AMAZING, as always!! I am SDJGKJS vibrating in my seat and the way I verbally keyboard smashed in excitement when the chapter opened with Chase and Halek interacting (I don't think I've ever seen them interact in SHOH?? Oh, wait. Except for that one scene when they're smoking charch together I think) was. Ungodly. [SPOILERS BELOW] HAHDSHDHG Looks like poor Halek can't escape Moonsilk even in another universe 💀💀💀 the fates have truly aligned for them /j and they're GANG members? LEADERS, at that? WOW. WOW. Halek and the Hunters just got a whole lot more intimidating. The chapter mentioned that the Hunters have a tendency to shoot first and ask questions later — but Halek seemed very ready to try and help someone he's supposed to be gathering info from. I wonder what kind of code the Hunters operate under in this world? Unlike SHOH, there's no clear cut enemies like Endarkened for them to dedicate their life to hunting. Or maybe the readiness to help is just a Halek thing? Chase had a good point about not getting involved; Halek probably knows that as well given he's a gang leader, but he still tries to help, anyway. 👁️👁️ AND REEEEEEEEDDD I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW HE WOULD BE INVOLVED WITH THE REDBANDS. Good to know he's still the same as ever, always worrying about potential fallouts and repercussions and such 😭 a lot of his musings in the chapter echo his opinions on exposing the Heirophant in the Heth Macoll chapter: something something order, something something not ruining people's belief or faith or peace. I really love how you've managed to stay so true to their characters even when they're in a vastly different universe!! It's very!!!! :DDDD ✨✨✨ Oddly enough, I can't wait to see Red and Riel interact within this universe — I don't know what Riel's opinions on the Redbands are, but given that he Says (side eye) that he's looking for a redband spy within his circle, it's probably not too favorable — especially considering how the Redbands aren't very united in the first place. Red's levelheadedness subverts quite a lot of the things that give Redbands a bad rep, hehe! :D And I do love the chess buddies thing they have going on in SHOH! TALLYYSSS so she's stuck undercover, ah? Oof 😭 I wonder what her backstory in this world is... 👁️👁️ You did an amazing job of portraying the tediousness and bone-deep weariness that can come from being undercover — Tallys was really going through it 😭 ALSO CHANDRY AND MIMIR TEAMING UP REAL!!!! I'M SO EXCITED TO SEE THEM SAJGSGDDGSJ IS CHANDRY GOING TO BE WITH THE MAIN GANG?? Oh my god I wonder what his role and backstory is 😭 Good to know that he's as eccentric as ever <3 ALSO MIMIR AND HER FUTURE SIGHT MMMMMMMHHH I'm assuming that psions aren't just wandering around the Lights and Clockwork universe (you can bet my Thorne took that option despite the companions' disapproval 💀) so I wonder how her backstory is going to come out? Exciting! Very exciting!! Once again, amazing update!! I was eating up your prose and exposition as usual!! Thank you for all your hard work, and I hope you enjoy your December, despite that incredibly packed schedule!
