Why the Postwar matters

The Postwar matters. In the bleakness and horrors of the war we are currently witnessing in Europe, it is important to remind ourselves that this war will also end. This matters. It is upon us who believe in a free and democratic Europe to support our ukrainian brothers and sisters in their striving for victory. BUT it is also upon us all to imagine a world after the war. Many of my videos since the brutal Russian invasion of 2022 have focuse heavily on what the world will be like after the war, and I have noticed criticisms directed at this approach of mine. I therefore wish to defend myself briefly and explain why the Postwar matters so much, not just to me, but also to you.

I really like your views, which are often 'from afar / different angle' than the most of the ideas and here I really like idea that lacking political will is equal to lacking postwar plan! :) I wasn't exactly one of the voices of critique, but still was on the opinion side 'let's win a war first' (mostly, because the problems with current coalition and support). In my view, 'win the war' attitude was to break russian might on the battlefield by overwhelming support to Ukraine, so Russia can't retry in few years, giving us time to move with reconstriction of Ukraine and it's integration to western structures. Something similar to crushing of Germany in ww2 or weakness of Russian in 90s, so we would have a time and space to work on the postwar progress without interference. I can't say, if this was a main reason for a critique of others, just thinking out loud, what it might be based on. Anyway, thanks a lot for a very valid point in this video, to look more to the future, when I was thinking is proper.
