A Fake Ad
Added 2020-04-25 22:11:14 +0000 UTCAs I am working on the second part of the Turkey video, I had a call with a friend on discord, and over the course of a long conversation, we both started rambling about how shitty Raid Shadow Legends is and how shity the sponsorships for it by various YouTubers are.
In case you know nothing about it, Raid Shadow Legends is an online "game" made of crappy 3D renders, lackluster and featureless, but filled to the brink with microtransactions that add up costing whoever has the misfortune of playing it an enormous amount of money.
Which... isn't surprising as the game is literally made by an Australian/American gambling conglomerate that makes slot machines and various other gambling devices as well as runs online gambling dens.
In summary, Raid Shadow legends is a shallow attempt by a gambling corporation to hook kids on gambling their parent's money away. And various YouTubers have promoted it, in exchange for money provided by the company.
So... my friend had a suggestion...
"How about you start your next video with a fake 3-minute long ad for Raid Shadow Legends, in which you talk about how you have been paid by Australians with Nazi gold to hook kids on gambling and to raid their mum's credit card for raid shadow legends?"
And I... like this idea. But... since it is somewhat of a political statement, I will not be doing this, unless I have your approval.
So... should I make the fake ad?
