Game installation procedure (English)

Some of you have asked me the question, so you might as well make a post dedicated to this issue.

How to install the game and unlock the patreon part?

Everything is explained here! ;)

Two main stages:

A) Game installation (public & patreon)

B) Unlocking the early access part "patreon".

A) Game installation ; Two ways of doing it:

1) Via the application (heavy client):

Preferably use this way there because it offers the possibility of being in update. That is to say that you will only have to install the evolutions in the game and not all of it each time.

Launch the itch application. If you don't have it, go to the itch.io site, create your account if necessary (free) then get the application (free).

In the application, at the address bar, enter the following url: https://anthrius.itch.io/the-streets-of-eternea

Click the "Download" button at the top left.

Click on the "No thanks, show me the downloads" link (you don't need to pay since you're a patreon;)).

The window is updated, just click on the "Download" link: There is only one link, it will always be the latest version of the game.

A popup is displayed offering you the location of the installation (remember to note this one, it will be useful for phase (B)).

Click on "install".

2) Via the internet browser:

To have the latest version you go to the website https://anthrius.itch.io/the-streets-of-eternea . You have to create an account on this site (free).

Then it is enough at the level of this link to click on the "download".

Then click on the link above the price "No thank you, show me the downloads" (no charge will be made).

On the new page only one download link is available, it will always be the latest version of the game.

B) Unlocking the early access part "patreon".

Please note: only the "Wolf" and "Alpha" patreons have early access to the game.

Go to the Patreon site post for the latest patch.

You will find attached a file to download.

This is a zip file (I initially put the file directly, but the patreon site renames it ...).

This zip contains a single file with the extension ".Anthrius".

Simply unzip this zip file into the game directory.

Remember to recover this file over the new patches.

You can leave the old files.

Make sure, if you are still in public access in the game, that the file is indeed present in the directory (the installer of the itch site can potentially clean it). Relaunch the game if it was active during file install. If missing you just have to put it back.

There you go, now you can play;)
