News & Marion-Related Poll (Minor Spoilers)

First off, we're making good progress on Marion's final chapter, which is shaping up to be another good candidate for splitting into two Beta builds like we did Grace's Chapter 3. Last week I distributed the draft build of the first half of Marion's final chapter among the team, so we will finish sketching assets and choreographing the sprites to have a build ready for Beta Testers around the end of the month.
For those not in the Beta Tester Tier, we also announced a new cheat code last week, bringing the total up to two! We've created a special Bonus Scene room for non-canon scenes created for special events (two so far), which can be accessed using a super-secret code :3 Be sure to check it out if you're in the Beta Tester Tier-- it's live in the most recent build!
And now onto the poll-- and possible spoilers!
We've alluded before that this chapter will include a milking scene (it would be criminal to feature a cow TF and not have one!). This begs the question, what should they do with all of Marion's milk?
On one hand... Marion looks cow-like, and is in the dairy business. Given the hard times they live in, there is an argument for adding her cow-like milk to the farm's yield.
On the other hand... Marion is very much not one of the herd. It might make her uncomfortable to put her own milk out there for consumption. Would you feel the same way?
The transformation genre sure does raise some thought provoking questions, haha! This poll has no end date, and we want to know how our whole player-base feels about this subject, so it's an open vote.

2020-07-16 00:24:35 +0000 UTCOK, to be a realist here, unless we are talking about supernatural levels of production I can only see Marion producing maybe a gallon a day tops. that would be about a 1/8 pound of cheese if they were lucky and if they wanted butter they would get one or two table spoons worth. they would be better off keeping it for personal use, using it to nurse an orphan calf or feeding it to any pigs. I know that is not romantic, sexy, or anything but it is practical.

Also, I do not understand the story because I read it intuitively without translating through the game. I would like to convert it if I can unravel any text file, but I have no programming or translation skills. Ah... Since this question is also viewed through the translation site, the answer will look strange to others.

That said, I wouldn't say no to an Easter egg where she accidentally gets the bottles mixed up and transforms absolutely everyone...

Maybe the milk tastes great and is wildly popular, before some delayed effects are discovered. I think Marion's story could really end with a bang ;)

I know that's not super satisfying but it will save a fair bit of time and that way you wouldn't have to deal with fleshing out the internal conflict in the world and could focus on other things. That being said, its a TF game and people drinking it could be fun...

If she is going to use it (selling it) then she should not mix it up with the normal milk of her herd. Maybe the milk got healing potential. Maybe it suits as a love potion/aphrodisiac. Maybe it transforms the one who drinks it. So many possibilities. The writers sure will find a good storyline.

Like, no one would know they were drinking cow person milk, and not the normal variety, and I feel like that thought might make Marion uncomfortable. But I do agree that the option 3 that everyone seems to be bandying about would be the best option. After all, it would be a shame to waste it, and there’s no harm in keeping a little of the ah, “premium product” for themselves, right?

Considering her transformation and well i do feel uncomfortable as for the consumption especially where you know where it comes from. Anyway i hope the final chapter is great and i can't wait for it on steam. I just hope we get a Transformation that makes one taller mainly in a future chapter. (p.s i can see Marion going this way but its whatever i guess)

But I do not think as she is that she would be willing to sell it. However, having it be something that he family and Malcom could consume and drink is another story entirely.

2020-07-12 23:53:12 +0000 UTCI'm with DC James above: Needs the 3rd option of keeping it in the family....The biggest plus: since she IS a Cow, she can supply their household with Milk, and the milk supplied by their herd could go to taking care of others, with zero repercussions on them, after all, they've got that taken care of, and if the town suddenly needs more, they won't be hurting. Just my thoughts on it....
