If I get the prototype, then the prototype will be in the video (Sunlu E2)

Eh, I am so tired of testing prototypes. Then the companies "don't mention this or that, it is fixed in mass production...". If somebody wants to download the table with measured temperatures, it is attached to this post. Sunlu will not like the video, it will be public tomorrow, but early access: https://youtu.be/nLT9q8fQJyk

Other what is in progress (and I already recorded the intro):

Speaking of high temperature, I would love to see you compare the strength of some filaments printed at different chamber temperatures. I have not done scientific testing but feel that when I print abs at 80C chamber temp it comes out much stronger than 60C for example.

I'm a bit late here but per CNC Kitchen and the article he based his work on, you should also use 100% infill, aligned rectilinear infill, no top or bottom layers, and one perimeter

I am on it. But maybe the transparency will be separated for second video. I will see.

I already contacted the company, but no reply from them. Usually, they hesitate when the advertising specs are stronger than the reality (see Tullomer). I have a lot of work on my side, if I clean all that I will buy the filament to test it. If the company will send it, then it can be tested earlier..

Have you ever tried Graphene added PLA or PET-G and how to dry it? I stumbled across it some days ago. https://www.3djake.at/prografen

Igor, When you test the “10 transparent PETG filaments”, would you please be so kind to cover printing ‘glass’? This is sufficiently complex of a topic that it might be its own episode, but I can’t think of a better opportunity to test which filament prints the clearest ‘glass’ than when testing 10 transparent filaments. I am reasonably confident that I have taken Bambu Labs transparent PETG as far as it can be taken in transparency, but other brands are rumored to be better choices. (3mf available upon request). The principles to printing ‘glass’ are simple: * use an 0.8mm nozzle. * turn off the fans. * print as slowly as possible. * print 0.1mm layers heights instead of 0.2mm layer heights. (Though with Bambu filament, the difference is marginal). * no crossing layers. Or use concentric, if the shape of the object permits. However, from what I can tell, nobody has taken your level of rigor to determining how to print the clearest possible transparent PETG. Useful Links ============ * Bambu Tips & Print Profiles: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/knowledge-sharing/transparent-petg (I can do better than Bambu’s 0.8mm nozzle profile). * The initial, seminal, work on printing glass. Much has been learned since: https://www.printables.com/model/15310-how-to-print-glass * Search for “PETG glass” on MakerWorld.com. But do read the comments. Some of the instructions use custom gcode that resulted in clogged hotends for some users. Filaments That Keep Coming up as Especially Suitable ==================================================== * OVERTURE CLEAR PETG * Tinmorry PETG-ECO (Again, I see no evidence of anybody having performed truly rigorous testing as to which brand results in the clearest ‘glass’ or ‘ice’, as it is sometimes called It would be fantastic if you could bring your rigor to this question. Transparent glass lids make for very much appreciated presents. Questions? Ask! - Lucky

That's my guess as well, I'm not sure if the thermal camera can detect hot air, but it seams that it's better at detecting solid or liquid stuff

Liubo Jin

Something like this? https://youtu.be/nLT9q8fQJyk?si=Tnx6EaBXxAUm-SaN&t=605 but thermal camera is not too accurate for this, only to see if the outer wall is not too hot for example. Real sensors are always more accurate (if we can use them)

Igor Gaspar

For this kind of tests, as a customer, would it be helpful if we have a thermal camera to verify the actual temperature output?

Liubo Jin

Probably this Sunlu E2 is fine, if this thing is fixed in mass production. But as I mentioned in the video, if I get the prototype, then that product will be presented.

Igor Gaspar

Do you have a high temp (110c +) filament dryer you can recommend?
