Writer's Block and How to Overcome it

Hey guys.
as some of you might already know (I think I've mentioned it in the past), my work makes me spend a lot of time driving between hospitals and medical offices, distant around 90 minutes each , 2-3 times a week. During that time, I used to listen to music and thinking about the script of my current VN. And it worked. Most of the plot points and twists of Goss_IP for example came to me during that time. (Other writers find inspiration in the bathroom.)

Lately though, I have been under a dry spell when it came to MJ's story. I just couldn't find a good ending of the main story (before the various possible endings) and I couldn't figure out why. Then, I had an epiphany. The only thing I've changed during all these years is that instead of music, in the past year or so, I was listening to podcasts. You might think, so what? What's the difference? The thing is that I hadn't realized that a big difference between music, songs etc and podcasts is the music can be played in the background while my mind drifts.

So, it's been only a couple of months now that I've stopped listening to podcasts and finally, one day my writer's block was gone! I wrote 7 pages of good dialogue in just one sitting! I even surprised myself!

Anyway, I can't give you any spoilers of course so I'll try to just give you something.

The image is showing Xander and Tiffany Sommers at the Burgundy Bistro, from when MJ first meets them as customers. This means that Tiffany will play a rather big role later.

Second, the rounds were left at 94 I think. Well, we'll go up to 98, maybe 99, and this is the end of the tabletop part of the game. Of couse, the game will go on but just as a good old fashioned VN.

-Ehm, I said, last but not...

- (Will you stop it? Shut your big mouth already!).

-... Whatever, you're right. I'll stop...
