RIP Tanjiroโs long hair! ๐ฅฒ Personally, I am not a fan of the dub, but I plan to continue watching with you all no matter what!! Although I can assure you that it would be a lot easier to follow along in sub than Attack on Titan was. While the story is great itโs not one where you need to remember every single minor detail. But if dub allows you all to enjoy the animation more I am all for it! I think Tanjiroโs Japanese voice actor just conveys intense emotion through his voice in a way that you donโt even need to understand Japanese to know what he is feeling. Something that could possibly just be harder to express in English because it comes off as โoverreactingโ depending on the scene. I had a roommate from Japan and they actually told me that a lot of the Japanese voices in anime sound cringey to her, so she would watch it in English dub instead.

I see people are still fighting over the dub sub thing ๐ญ Personally I wished you'd have chosen sub because Japanese sounds so nice to hear, but I'm also okay with dub! I'm not 100% convinced by the voice actors in the dubbed version, sometimes they sound too affected to me, but it's still very watchable.

Donโt feel pressured to move to the sub version because I know firsthand how annoying it can be sometimes to focus on reading when you just want to watch the animation and not miss anything. Iโve watched this show in dub first then sub and I loved it either way, Iโm just glad you guys are watching it!!

2025-11-04 20:36:46 +0000 UTCJust to put some positivity back in the comments because some people have become deranged but please continue to watch in the English dub! I have been watching along with subs as it is my preferred and Iโve been having so much fun. Demon Slayer is an anime that I think is amazing for those who had previous prejudices towards anime and animation for teens and up. Tanjiro is one of the only main characters that I feel doesnโt fall to the wayside for me. Heโs a very good protagonist imo. I canโt wait until next Monday, which is a crazy thing to say because who wants it to be Monday lol.
