24:15 I think this is also where L realizes that he is out of his depths here because he’s only ever solved human cases and never delved into the supernatural. He is a man of logic and science, but gods of death? Way out of his wheelhouse. And this is where my heart breaks a little bit because this is where we really see the imbalance of fight between L and Light - we as viewers knew this from the start, but seeing L realize it leave a bigger impact I think

2024-12-31 11:45:49 +0000 UTCYup, Oak hit the nail on the head really. What freaked L out the most was the notion that there just might be a supernatural force at play. In this day and age, the possibility for anything that exists on a supernatural level outside the realm of materialism is absolutely forbidden. Rather than accept that the evidence points to supernatural things and running with that, people will just come up with whatever random explanation fits even remotely, and they'll cling to that even when you poke holes in it because they're terrified of accepting the possibility that supernatural events and forces exist. Personally I couldn't imagine having such a clear bias while still trying to pretend that I'm logical and objective about my conclusions.

My husband and I did a Misa/Light cosplay at Otakon awhile back and ran into two people dressed as Ryuk and Rem and got an awesome group photo. Also, don't worry, your questions at the end will be answered in time.
