James Stewart looks way younger in his Oscar-winning performance for Best Actor in “The Philadelphia Story” (1940) co-starring two screen legends: Katherine Hepburn & Cary Grant (I love this classic!). James Stewart enlisted (as did many Hollywood celebrities) during WW2 and served as a military aviator . “It’s a Wonderful Life” was released in 1946 - the war just ended in 1945 and of course he looks dramatically older. He’s very well-known for his roles in a few Hitchcock classics. Oak would be blown away by the speech in another popular James Stewart classic: “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” (1939). I would definitely love to see your guys reaction to that one - and many more films from Hollywood’s Golden era.
