CATES Hiatus

I've been dreading this day and I genuinely tried to push it back as much as I could. First of all, from the bottom of my heart, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I couldn't live up to your expectation, I'm sorry I couldn't deliver and I'm incredibly sorry, if you came in not to support me, but to support Chronexia and the Eight Seals as a show because I couldn't make it work. 

My project was too ambitious and I was too inexperienced for it. What originally started as something meant to be fun for everyone to have a good time on turned into a pressuring project that caused friction for everybody. The viewers were impatient, the creators were pushed and I was caught between a rock and a hard place.

I started this project idea back in 2016, when YouTube was thriving when I was merely engaged to my wife, living in an apartment and Misty (my daughter) wasn't even in conception process. I literally had no strings attached to me. Now both my wife and daughter depends heavily on me to provide for the family, I have a mortgage to pay and we recently found out Jess is pregnant with baby number 2. With how little i make off of YouTube since the Adpocalypse, I can't afford to put another penny in this project.

But despite that, I still don't want to kill it off entirely, maybe I'll become wealthy again someday and we'll be able to work on it once more. The whole point of the anime was to shed some light onto the novel I wrote and still to this day am enamored with. I've sold about 4500 copies, which is more than most prolific author today's first starting volume sales.

The haters have never been an influence on this decision, as a matter of fact, we got way more lovers of this show than the opposite, but it comes down my poor management and lack of time and finance to put onto it. 

I am deeply sorry if I let you down and this cause you to stop your patronage. I understand. This Patreon was, for a lot of people, CATES exclusive (although it's always been clear it was meant for the overall Channel) but I get that, and if that causes you to go I will not hold it against you. Thank you for believing in me all this time. You gave me a shot at making my own anime and for that i will forever be grateful.

That being said, It doesn't mean the channel will slow down or stop, if anything it'll just pick back up now that i don't have to put so much time onto CATES and I hope you'll stick around to see where we all go together.
