The white trees with the read leaves and faces carved into them are called Weirwoods. They are magical trees that are sacred to the old golds, the nature based religion of the ancient children of the forest and the first men (Starks are first men). They basically never die, and if they do they petrify instead of rot. And greenseers like Bran in GOT could use them to see distant places or see into the past or future. Its also hinted they may require blood sacrifice to bestow their powers. Most castles in Westeros (even those of family's that don't worship the old gods) have a godswood with a weirwood as the hearttree, so in both series you see them at multiple locations.

2024-07-04 20:48:01 +0000 UTCThere are also the 3 wild dragons on dragonstone: Sheepstealer, the Grey Ghost and the Cannibal. Daemon referred to them briefly in season 1. In the books Aegons kids also had small hatchlings but I think they are going to leave those out. And Arrax was the name of the small dragon that got killed in season 1 with Lucerys.

You can see she's terrified of him, but he doesn't seem to recognize her at all. I just think it was a good time to remind everyone that may have felt some sympathy for him exactly how much of a dirt bag he is.

2024-07-03 14:49:21 +0000 UTCOk so daemon is at Harrenhal, they say the place is haunted. When it was being built it is said they cut down the holy weirwood trees and built the castle ontop of them. (In season 1 episode 1 they are at Harrenhal at the very start)
