Probably one of the reasons why I think The Answer shouldn't watch Game of Thrones since it'll ruin what happens in this show. It was either season 3 or season 4 Game of Thrones when (insert character) spoils the ending. Can't wait to see how y'all react to it. Not giving any names or anything in case it jogs your guys's memory cause I doubt y'all can recall what I'm talking about since you've only seen the series once.

And regarding Oak's comments about the writers making Alicent out be a bad person, TV Alicent is way more complex, nuanced and sympathetic than book Alicent. In the book she is basically the evil step mom and had no friendship with rhaenyra. And to Oak's point about her not trying to prevent war/violence, she actually has tried. In SE1EP9, she pushes back on Otto's plan to have Rhaenyra killed and advises Aegon to reject Otto's council to do so. Alicent has a false hope in thinking she can do what she believes Viserys wanted; make Aegon the King & keep the peace. I loved this episode because the ending basically solidified why I think both Alicent & Rhaenyra are great characters who mean well but now its too late and war is coming.

2024-07-01 16:20:51 +0000 UTC1) the castle daemon goes to is Harrenhal, king Harren Hoare refused to bend the knee and Aegon the conqueror scorched the place ending the line, there is a rumored curse on the place and every lord who's is given the castle has perished. also remember in game of thrones little finger is given Harrenhal and well we know what happened to him. as for the guy daemon dines with that is the current lord of harrenhal who took control after his nephew Lyonel strong ( former hand of the king after Otto was fired the first time, he is also the father of Larys strong aka larys clubfoot, master of whisperers, and FEET . lyonel's other son was the lord commander of the city watch, he's the real father of rhaenyra's first three kids Jace, Luke, and Joffrey the black haired kid who leaves with his other two brothers and Rhaena. 2) a clarification for "the prince that was promised " in high valryian "prince" is not a gendered noun so it technically means prince or princess who was promised. 3) dragonstone where rhaenyra is situated in in the same bay that surrounds kings landing so the boat ride is not very long
