Reinventing how things work in The Sims 3 may seem simple at first. In theory, I thought that adjusting a gear here and there would make the game suitable for my best needs. However, when your ambition is to make them as credible and realistic as possible, things get more complicated.

With Get Out, we brought life to the neighborhood, making it a true protagonist in your Sims' story. Now there is a balance between pedestrians, cars, and movement around the map. With our updates, Get Out has also become more efficient in determining the quantity and variety of Sims on community lots according to the type of lot and the time of day, considering all other lots in the world simultaneously.

With Simlane Traffic Speed, we made car traffic more versatile and realistic than ever! Now families would go out with a greater variety of vehicles, giving the city a feel very similar to SimCity.

However, I was still not satisfied. So, I created Classic Sims Revival. I felt that the challenge factor presented in The Sims 1 and 2 was missing. I was willing to challenge myself to balance Sims' personal needs with the ambitions that the open world now offers. This was extremely important for our next mod cycle. Because Classic Sims Revival not only makes needs deplete faster, it gives function to them!

In other words, Sims no longer engage in long conversations, as their social need was always fine. Not anymore; now social need decreases throughout the day, encouraging interaction in the urban environment with other Sims.

Once needs became more realistic, the dynamics between Sims seemed a bit superficial. That's because the control was still in our hands! It was necessary to give Sims more autonomy, intelligence, and initiative!

Supreme AI came to help us at this point! Now Sims are FREE, LIGHT, and RELAXED! They can do what they want, reject our opinions, and definitely have a more peculiar sense of humor. We made them less "Proper" and more "Outgoing," in other words, we planted the seed of Chaos to see what they would do and how they would react.

But it still wasn't enough chaos, so I created the Chaos mod, making singular and uncomfortable events a bit more dangerous, frequent, and scary. Fires spread more easily, burglars rob your house more often, and meteors and abductions are more evident risks.

BUT... and there's always a "But" at the end of each mod... Sims still didn't seem to understand, react to, and recognize their environment. I mean, all this affected them, but if it affected someone next to them, they seemed to just ignore it.

So, the Social Consequences mod was born, making Sims more human, smarter, and simulating more realistic behaviors. If before the incentive came from objects, now it comes from other Sims. After all, Sims, like humans, are Social beings!

And you always think you're done when you finish the last mod. I thought it was good enough. BUT (there it is again) some things could improve. So, thanks to your vision and suggestions, something changed.

GROUP DYNAMICS!

That's right, being human is not just about TALKING but also about ENGAGING in group activities. Thus, Coming Together was born. This mod revises group dynamics and encourages Sims to gather in group activities autonomously.

You see, I'm not saying that they will necessarily form groups (although they can); I'm saying that they will often be encouraged (not FORCED) to, whenever possible, engage in activities together. That is, join jam sessions, games, drinking, and whatever else they can do together.

This mod does not change anything in the interface, but together with all the other mods mentioned in this post, what it does is give Sims the ability to autonomously engage in group social dynamics. In other words, activities.

Could I say we've reached the final stage? I always think so; let's wait and see. But in the meantime, how about testing and playing with my new mod?

Important factors to consider are that the actions motivating your Sims to join or not join certain activities are completely driven by their personality, skill set and talents, and of course, their need for fun. The primary motivator in this mod is fun, as humans tend to engage more in group dynamics to achieve happiness/fulfillment. This is what will motivate your Sims to gather around these activities. Test it out and let me know about your experience.

As mentioned earlier, I strongly suggest that you combine this mod with all the other mods mentioned in this post. Without them, it's provably less effective, but when used together, they create a much richer and more immersive experience. Each mod complements the others, enhancing various aspects of the game to provide a seamless and dynamic world for your Sims to explore and interact with. Try them out together and see how your gameplay transforms.
