I Really Can't Stay (Stepfordization)
Added 2020-12-09 18:01:01 +0000 UTCSorry for the delay on this one! I think this past month has proven that my old "every other week" schedule was probably for the best. Having an extra week to work on a story is a lot less stressful, and I'm generally happier with the final products as a result, so I think I'm going back to that posting schedule. It was nice while it lasted though, huh?
This story is one I got the inspiration for back in early November, when the radio stations in my town were overrun by Christmas music. Baby It's Cold Outside is rather infamous, and after about the 20th time hearing it on the radio at my day job, I came up with the idea for this story! Hope you enjoy!

Peggy is definitely in my top 5 Stepford wife names! The prevalence of f/f couples isnโt really intentional (and coincidentally has happened right as I find myself more interested in men, oddly enough), but in general I just find that side of things lacking, and want to pump up the numbers a bit. As for the descriptions, thanks! I try to go with whichever fits the flow of the story better. Sometimes it would grind the story to a halt to describe the outfits, as much as I love to go in depth with them, and I do think it can be nice to just let the reader fill in certain details themselves. Thanks for reading!

I also think itโs fun how in some stories you get really detailed with the outfits, and in some like this one you leave it more up to our imaginations in terms of what specific colors/styles sheโs wearing

2020-12-23 17:58:05 +0000 UTCThank you! This is definitely one of my most horror influenced stories, but Iโm glad it didnโt go too far in that regard, to the extent that it wasnโt fun. It can be a tricky balance to strike. Glad someone else is a fan of slurring during a brainwashing scene!

2020-12-12 03:56:19 +0000 UTCOh what a fantastic spin on so many tropes! I love the slurring and the slow realization of her change in attire. And its sinister and horror-y and creepy in all the fun ways
