Fitting In Part 7 (Finale)

I hope everyone is excited for this last chapter! 

The opening scene of this chapter is actually a sort of re-contextualized version of a scene that was in my original plans for this story. When the story was supposed to focus on Vix as they tried to "save" Tanya from her new friends. I had written a scene where they sort of stalked Tanya and company on social media before heading out to try and put a stop to Tanya's stepfordization journey. I think that having Tanya interrupt that moment herself is a fun sort of meta joke, since she ended up remaining the protagonist in the final version of events. 

This chapter also features some more from Casey, and while I wish I had more time to flesh out her own dive into Stepfordization, I think just having a quick before and after works well enough. For a character who wasn't even in my initial plans for the story, I actually rather enjoy the concept of a social media influencer or e-girl who makes a shift into Stepford fashion. I may have to revisit that concept in the future! 

Fitting In has, altogether, been quite the interesting experience. I've written pieces before that had consensual elements, like some of the Stepford Game stories and the Runaway In Stepford story, but this is certainly my longest and most in depth exploration of the subject. I don't really have a specific quota or anything in mind, in future stories, when it comes to willing vs unwilling transformations, but I don't think I'll ever totally abandon one for the sake of the other. It really depends on the story in question, and what makes the most sense for it. I think that unwilling Stepfordization is sort of the default, since the fetish has its roots in a horror movie and all, but consensual transformations can be fun as well. So, for every Fitting In, you can also expect a Stepford Virus to balance it out. What can I say? I enjoy writing Stepfordization with at least some degree of horror to it. And I hope that readers can enjoy everything I come up with.
