The Life Wife Store (Bonus Story)
Added 2020-10-07 13:57:02 +0000 UTCOur final bonus story! Although, I've honestly been enjoying this so much that I've decided, if patronage reaches $150 in the future, as long as it's at or above that point, I'll still post at least one bonus story a month, just not always caption remakes.
Sadly, once again I am unable to find the image that inspired the original caption, despite searching for it all of last night. It showed a woman helping another, younger woman with blonde hair try on dresses at a clothing store. The younger woman held a pink dress to her chest and stared off into the distance, sighing dreamily, while the older woman looked on.
I did fudge some of those details, since the image is no longer necessary viewing as part of the story, but the overall events of the story are about the same. I also decided to set this story in England, where quite a few of my family members were born. Better to show the spread of the Stepford lifestyle, don't you think? In general, I'd say that this story was meant to be short, to the point, and still enjoyable. A classic case of stepfordization, without too many frills (at least, aside from the ones on your dress). And speaking of the dress...
The one featured in this story was inspired by the red sailor dress on the right, in this picture.
Next week will be our Fitting In finale! I can't believe it's already here, but I'm very excited to share it with you all.
