Fitting In (Chapter 4)

This chapter is the one where some of my original plot ideas begin to bubble up, albeit in a much different way. For the most part, though, it's putting more focus on Tanya's relationship with Brandon, and her slipping more comfortably into this role. It's one thing for her to dress and act the part of a perky 50s girl, but it's another thing for her to feel confident and comfortable in that role.

Thank you so very much! I sometimes worry that the slow and casual pace of this story has or will put some people off, but I’m glad that at least one person is really enjoying that aspect! As for the leather jacket, I’m glad you’re paying attention to that detail, because you’re right on the money.

2020-09-03 15:42:10 +0000 UTCAwesome, this is my favorite chapter yet! So glad we finally get to see more of Tanya’s transformation, even tho she knows/wants there is more to come. The more relaxed pace of this story makes her transformation feel even more meaningful, since we’ve watched her build and build to this and get happier the deeper she goes. Really fun cliffhanger, can’t wait to see how that conversation goes! Going forward one thing I’m interested to see: is the leather jacket a true totem that will always mean a lot to her? Or is it a security blanket of sorts that she’ll eventually grow out of? Will be fun to see
