2024-03-03 23:34:27 +0000 UTCI wasn’t sure where to put this, but felt I should say it… I was very sad to see some of the criticism that the lads have received for their latest sketch. (Israel vs Palestine) I personally think that they addressed the issues in their own intelligent, diplomatic and impartial way… but you can’t please everyone. They’re comedians, not politicians, and their job is to entertain and make us laugh… which they have done for so many years now and it made me so disappointed to see that some people judged them so harshly. Especially considering that they’re Irish and most likely they, and their families will know all about the current struggles that are taking place… I have Irish family who remember signs in British pubs that used to say… ‘No blacks No Dogs… No Irish’ And people still really think that they’d be deliberately ignorant and disrespectful!? If so, then I don’t know how else to think anymore…!? 🤷 And please note, this comment isn’t directed at anyone in particular, nor is it meant to upset anyone, I just felt sorry for the lads reading some of the comments on the socials and YouTube this week… some of it felt unjust. They’re just entertainers… and it’s their livelihoods and careers at risk, it’s not something they should feel obligation or pressure to address, but I felt that approached the subject and dealt with it very well.
