Our 1st Ever Edinburgh Show Poster - 2009
Added 2024-02-22 12:07:50 +0000 UTCWe're doing our photoshoot tomorrow for our next Edinburgh show poster, so here's a look at our first ever one. I was going through some hard drives and came across this little beauty. It was our first ever hour long show and we had no right to do it. The clubs were only letting us do 5 or 10 minutes at the time but we thought 'Hey, an hour in the biggest comedy festival in the world? Easy'.
Few things to note;
Absoluety no one knew who we were or what we did so we named the show 'Sketch Comedy Show'. Keep it Simple.
There was no production company involved, just the three of us, but we wanted to seem important so we made up Feck / Arse Productions. A nice hat tip to Father Ted.
That five star review from the Observer? Yeah that actually existed... but it was for the University College Dublin Observer, a much smaller and less classy publictaion at our college. I'm not sure we really fooled anyone.

[I must say that while "It might be toilet humour but at least it's not shit" is a clever (if self-deprecating) tagline, it would turn me right off seeing any comedy show - so I'm glad you've moved on from toilet humour!] I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how SKITTISH you all look in this year's photo shoot!
