When someone's been struggling as long as you have, it's only fair that someone, or something, intervene. You didn't expect it to be magical forces, but you appreciated being seen. You'd received a letter. A promise of something more, something better. You were at the end of your rope with nothing else to try, so you figured you'd take a leap of faith. That leap of faith brought you to the middle of the ocean in a boat that was falling apart. You'd lost about all of your hope, and stopped fighting the storm. You sat on the boat and gave up. But the magical powers that be didn't give up on you. You wake up on an island, and your guardian is waiting for you.
