The Sisters Bellamy
Added 2024-11-26 17:28:51 +0000 UTCRae Rae and Bijou ("Belle") Bellamy are the offspring of Pearl Bellamy (manta ray, not shown) and her not always faithful husband Magnus (bichon frise, also not shown). You're already familiar with middle child Belle; the 14 year old bichon is mostly focused on posting her songs on Tik Tok and texting her girlfriend Spoony every waking moment. Rae Rae, the eldest, takes after Mom in species but marches to her own melodious beat. At 22 she's already a financially independent fashion blogger who lives in a swanky apartment in St. Charlies's austere Aqua Village. Lucky for us, Rae Rae has more class than both of her uppity parents combined, and has been known to make generous donations to local queer causes.
Six year old Fluffy Bellamy, poor lass, is the result of Magnus's extra-marital fling with a pitbull woman who didn't stick around. Neither his whinging ass nor his domineering wife Pearl are much interested in Fluffy, and she'd be a sorry case indeed if she wasn't being low-key raised by Rae Rae and her fiancee Betsy Stomp. Both of Fluffy's older sisters adore her, even if her dad and not-mom would stick her in a bag and toss it into Rio Bianca if they could get away with it. Due largely to Rae Rae's influence, Fluffy manages to be a happy pup, always willing to recognize the good in others.
Are those Lady Olivia's soprano daisies I spy? Meanwhile, yes, you can call her Sweetie Bull if you want. I mean, I do.

I like how you look at a creature, be it a sea creature, insect or something else and go "Yes, I can work with that." and turn out something amazing. And the worldbuilding is a joy. I know it's helped by being married to a A++ worldbuilder and having A++ worldbuilders on speed dial on your phone, but it's all coming together.
