Sins Of The Father

Orange you glad I didn't call this piece "Paternewty Test"?  Yunan's not laughing!  Anyway, time for headcamel!

In Marcy's Journal (canon addendum to the show) we learn that Yunan's father was a rogue knight who double crossed his compatriots and brought dishonor to his legacy.  For my purposes, dear old Dad is one Yan Longclaw, formerly of the Newtopian elite forces who did, in fact, stab his team in the back (possibly literally) and abandon them to their fate.  He then went running around as a one-man terror of the countryside, but not before ditching his baby daughter at an orphanage.  He said he'd come back for her when he got around to it and disallowed the place from adopting her to a family.  He did not come back for her.

But he DID come back for her!  That is, after she grew up and crawled tooth-over-tail to get to the top of the Newtopian army.  Thereafter, Yan would pop in and out of Yunan's life, asking for favors and generally being creepy and unhinged.  He calls her Yanna Longclaw (apparently his birth name for her), to which she will not answer.  Yan also has some unpleasant opinions of the family his daughter has created:  tough little Marcy Jr. is one thing, but Olivia is a stuck up hussy who seduced his baby girl, and Alena is a freak who should be reabsorbed into the swamp.  Needless to say, Yunan does not like her old man, seeing him as nothing but trouble at best and an genuine danger to her family, friends and life at worst.

Oh, and Yan used to have more claws.  Don't know what happened to his other stabby glove.  Or, like, his other arm.

Sweet lord please save me from Yunan's armor.  It's so hard for me to draw!
