You may think Gnewt is just a good dude, and certainly he is, but he put in the leg work to understand and help his son. Even while he was still with Ike's mother, Gnewt would sneak off to the library and research sexuality and gender identity on the internet (home computers weren't as popular then). Gnewt joined PFLAG and was the one to figure out how to get a binder for Ike. I would proclaim this gnu the GOAT if he wasn't so damn hard to draw, heh.

Trouble remembering my own phone number, but when it comes to stories I have near-encyclopedic knowledge of plot and character details. It lent itself pretty well to 7 years of drawing horse fanart on the internet! But I really wish it was geared to retaining consequential information, like....literally anything I learned in college, lol This is an interesting change! I'm very curious to see what this entails for Ike and Dolph's relationship. How they met, what their thought process was on having Rudy...what led to their divorce. No rush to draw any of this btw, just voicing that I'm interested to see what you're cooking up. :3

2022-08-26 23:45:16 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if I should call it a retcon, or just say that early WwF art was toeing the water on a good day. If you look back at a lot of the really old stuff, the backstories have mushed and molded. I am, meanwhile, very happy that you've been keeping up well enough to notice! As Ike has come into his own, I have decided that he embraces his male identity much earlier in life, even in his marriage to Dolph and parenthood of Rudy.

You mentioned before that Ike tried to live as a woman up until his later life, which presumably included marrying Dolph and having Rudy. Yet here he is, out and proud as a gay trans man at just 18. So my question is, did something happen to make Ike go back in the closet? Or is this a retcon?
