Due to their speed, it usually takes a team hunters to catch one. Other than its speed, the spurkey's form of defense is finding your most embarassing thoughts about each other and say it out loud. This often leads to in-fighting within spurkey-hunting teams, ruining friendships and breaking families right before Spurkey Day. Hence its nickname "The Heartbreak Bird".
It is very important that your Spurkey-hunting team consists of complete strangers. The spurkey is powerless when the most embarassing thing it can shout at you is "That guy's beard looks like an upside down hat."
