How long you or I have been a fan of his is irrelevant. I was hoping for a harder stance. Fred is too nice to everyone, probably me included. A hard line no would have not disappointed me. Fred gave a very diplomatic answer to something that I think does not need or deserve it. I don't want to mess with him making a living, so I don't want to bother with this any further, but I'd like to see him just flatly say, "No, that's out of the question", rather than "If you guys really wanted it, I wouldn't be able to make it up to standard." That's my disappointment. I also don't need to hear a lecture from a pedo like yourself. I could say a lot of anger filled things right now, but that won't help anyone. I'll just leave it at the fact that you sicken me.

Why are you disappointed in his answer Excel Sior? Fred kinda made it clear he DOESN'T want to do it and only would if the votes went in favor. Trust me, they won't. Most people on this Patreon respect Fred's rules and wishes (especially those of us who've been fans of his for years, I'm going on close to seventeen years since I discovered Gold Digger in 2001). I get you aren't into anything with aged up characters that are minors in their source material, but you're acting like Fred's willing to draw the stuff, when his statement makes it clear if he ever did it wouldn't be out of any willingness than to please the fans who support him. Fred appreciates we support him through Patreon and bends over backwards to make sure we have content above and beyond, so many of us would NEVER put him in that position, especially those aware of his standards. So don't throw the 'disappointed' thing at Fred when he clearly is not comfortable with the subject. As for you Fred, don't ever feel you need to compromise your standards, if anyone votes majority on a couple and subject you aren't comfy with; make it clear and we can re-vote. You deserve to enjoy what you're doing and not doing it, while eyeballing the shower, and eagerly waiting to finish so you can go wash off the squick.

Pretty much everyone who has been here a while knows where The Doctor draws the line in the sand; No incest, No Underage, No Futa & No Yaoi. My comments come from a place where these points are known and understood. I personally have no issues with 3 of those, but I respect The Doctor's stance on them and take that into account when I make my nominations. Your nomination slid through last month precisely because he wasn't aware that they were blood relatives. So, now that he *DOES* know, you can see why I say that the whole thing is moot.

Well a few things primarily stand out now. 1. If he doesn't do incest then that makes it a moot point even if it gets nominated, however I don't see that stated anywhere so what Fred's opinion of the theme can't be said for sure. Personally, because I suggested this same idea last month and he put it up, I'm inclined to believe that's not entirely accurate unless he just doesn't know Ben 10 all that well, in which case he's sure to know Ben and Gwen are cousins now. 2. Dae, though I understand your concern and the implications of real life incest is nothing to make light of, there are many people on the internet who don't view the act with disdain when done with fictional characters. It all circles back to back to there being no real life victims in fictional work. 3. I just can't think of any way to alter my nomination so I'm hoping to leave this in the hands of Fred and hear his stance on it, hope you guys can respect that. And no I'm not trying to start anything by defending my points or addressing Dae personally, I'm just stating the other side of the arguments all arguments have two.

I'd honestly drop the subject Mathew322 as well as the nomination or do some major editing based on a few things. First off, I believe Fred doesn't do incest anyway so even with aging up this probably gets a pass. Now you infer you expected Fred would do 18+ by default when underage characters are used. Okay, fine, as someone who's forgotten to put the 18+ label on their nominations it happens. All that said... Your statement of using the original series depictions is whether you intended or not, going to put up red flags since in the OG series Ben and Gwen are 10. Fred is already going to try and capture the look of the characters but in his style and to age them up. So you can see how someone gets the wrong idea when asking for some of the particulars as you have. With that said I can also understand if you want the SETTING of the original series I.E. them vacationing in a camper and their hijinx of annoying the shit out of each other, but now legal teens of porn age Now I'm not accusing you, I just see why Excel Sior is getting upset, though I feel they're not handling this the best way either. My advice, simply edit how your nomination is asked and wait for Fred's response.

I really see your point, but it's only based on you taking moral offence and assuming the intentions of others. The laws in place to the best of my knowledge protect erotica drawings of young characters, not photographs of young children, under Freedom of Speech with the exception of when those drawings are indistinguishable from real photographs, they are like that because there is no child abuse victim present to justify it further. Now you can sit there all day and debate what does and doesn't count as pedophilia but at the end of the day the only thing you're really advocating is the policing of harmless and victimless thoughts. I don't know about you but I'd rather not have someone control what I can and can't think about thank you, especially when no proof can be provided as to whether or not those thoughts are intended to be acted upon. Spoiler, they're not intended to be acted upon.

Fred has generally been conscious of trying to age characters up when obviously underage characters have been requested. I dislike that he has even done that, but at the very least he is well aware of the implications of not doing so. I don't want to cause any more problems for him over this. I love Fred, I love what he does, but I am concerned about guys like you requesting comics of underage characters. Also, when stories like this win, I am helping to fund them when I am morally opposed to them. At this point, I will stop supporting Fred if it comes down to it, and wish him well from there. But I don't want to be party to your request. Lastly, if Fred hypothetically did not age them up, you don't exactly seem to be opposed to that, and that is pretty much telling to me.

The reason I didn't request they be aged up is because it can be assumed he would regardless based on his other comics with under-aged characters and in that case wouldn't need to be stated. Furthermore, the reason I requested the original series is as I stated earlier, because they are most recognizable in that incarnation of them. You're equating harmless fictional work with real child pornography which is an appeal to fiction fallacy.
