In season 1 episode 9 when Mary says " I'm sorry " she is saying sorry for making the deal.

YES to what Adam said, stay turned for that extra credit scene at the end of Episode 6. You'll enjoy it...this is one of my all time favorite episodes because we get to find out that it was Mary all along that kind of set all of this into motion. And hearing about how sweet and innocent John was makes me sad because he had to change so much and became so hard. Well anyway love your reactions and can't wait for next time.

Such an epic episode. To see Mary and John when they were younger blew my mind. And to find out that Mary was the one who grew up being a hunter and that John became one after she died was such a twist & the casting for young John and Mary was amazing as well. I think I’ve commented it before but season four really ups the steaks on supernatural and it’s one of my fav seasons.

I really enjoyed this episode a lot too. Definitely one of the best from this season, along with the next episode as well. I missed Sam in this episode, but I loved the time travel aspect of it and Castiel's warnings to Dean about how Sam going down a dangerous path. And that if Dean can't stop him, then the angels will. I told you... I love Castiel so much and his deep husky voice is sexy. So is he. :) I also really loved the young versions of John and Mary. The actors playing them both really do look a lot like the actors who play them in the future too. Oh... and if you recall... back in season one's episode titled Home, Mary's spirit haunts their old house in Lawrence, Kansas and she saves Sam from the other poltergeist and protects her boys and the new family living there by sacrificing her spirit to kill it. Just before she does so, she walks up to Sam and apologizes to him. She looks at him with remorse and simply states, "I'm sorry." Until this episode, everyone assumes she was apologizing to him for not being able to protect Sam from the poltergeist sooner. However, in this episode, we learn that her apology is actually because of the deal she made with Yellow Eyes to save John, which caused Sam to become one of Yellow Eyes' psychic children. And because she was a hunter, she knew all about what she had done. This is also why we see Mary glare at the demon and utter "It's you" in Sam's nursery... when Yellow Eyes brings Sam into the past to show him what happened to him and his mother the night Mary died back in season two's episode, All Hell Beaks Loose Part One. She discovered her mistakes because she was a hunter all along. And yes... John only became a hunter after Mary died and discovered the truth about the supernatural. So good! Things are just getting rolling for this season. It gets pretty wild. But just to confirm one thing, yes John became a hunter after Mary's death to hunt down Yellow Eyes. And a little tip when you get to EP 6, there is a bonus scene at the end following the first closing credits. It's a must see. I'm really enjoying your posts. Hope you're having fun.

Well, for now we know that Sam's powers were given by a demon for starter and then after opening the gates of hell, Azazel obsviouly had some plans, he wasn't expecting to died from Dean's bullet but he did so we never knew what he wanted to do next, particularly with Sam and his powers, so it's got to be obviously bad. Now, Sam using them with a demon and keeping it has a secret. It's shady, and don't seems good. It's was a good episode and emotional one, not one of my favorite but definitely a good scenario.
