For me, that's also what I come for. I like it when the show makes fun of itself like this. I like this episode mostly for the funny stuff and for how much Dean gets into it. I can totally picture him doing that if his life were "normal". Can see how well he fits in with the crew there though. That was interesting. Dean had fun with it, but Sam was all business. Gotta find the fun where you can in their life. One of the producers, and occasional director, of this show McG, is actually in this episode, playing a crew member. They called the director G in this episode, so I guess he was "modeled" after McG? My take on how Dean was acting when he started talking to the actress was actually Dean "acting" awkward, to disarm her and come across like any other nice guy. And it worked. But, maybe was being a bit star struck. Just that I don't think Dean would have felt that awkward, knowing him. lol They did film this episode on the same lot they use for the show. But, SPN is mostly a Road Show, so they do a lot of traveling to location shoot. They use one of the buildings/stages? here for most of the rest, though. They obviously could control the weather so getting Vancouver, Canada to look like LA was harder for the outdoor scenes. lol A lot of the things the smarmy executive guy said are taken after actual things the real executives said for SPN. I think the network at the time.

2019-02-01 03:20:39 +0000 UTCThey used some of the actual filming crew in this episode. Not many, but a few. They did base some of the characters off of the show's people, though. The actresses photography past time is actually from Jensen. He apparently did something similar. I don't know the details though.

But now, I just think back to the filming of Season 8 of TWD when Dwight was supposed to have a fight with a Savior or something along those lines. But he & the stunt double, John Bernecker, didn’t do the scene the exact way they were supposed to and it resulted in John falling to his death. Really eerie 😰. All & all though, loved this episode too! Found it funny that they were knocking all the ways Sam & Dead use to hunt 😆. Then implement it all into their movie! Any idea when you’ll be finishing this season? I know that TWD 9B starts 2/10 so I’m assuming that may change your schedule a bit :)
