An autistic woman has decided against attending a “relaxed” autism-friendly theatre performance due to it actively discriminating against her many neuroses, sources have claimed.
Beth Hapworth, 38, said: “I was briefly excited when I saw an ad for an autism-friendly performance of The Lion King, but that excitement quickly turned to disappointment when I realised I couldn’t bring my emotional support anxieties.”
“How am I meant to sit through Scar pushing Mufasa off a cliff in the middle of a stampede and stay relaxed?” She continued. “Autism friendly my arse.”
She added: “Have they ever even met an autistic person? Frankly, given the context, Hakuna Matata feels like goading.”
