I'm wondering if it actually fixed her epilepsy or if all those wires throughout her brain altered its functioning just enough to cure it. That is remove the neural link and she'll still be fine because the wires remain.

Now imagine turning off your own senses combined with the trick Jess pulled on Felix last night! Getting help with mental tasks is interesting. To me that implies a deeper level of mind connection than just talking like Jess and Felix are doing right now.

2024-11-28 14:43:50 +0000 UTCBody control (for body rentals, or possibly for software to run you through an exercise routine while you do something else, dulling or turning off your own senses (for a deeper VR experience or a body swap, or medically for someone with severe chronic pain), live streaming or recording without needing an exterior device, AR system without a device (for looking things up and for communication, Jess doesn't need a phone). I'd also like to explore how a skill augmentation system might work, as in a software that helps with reflexes/muscle memory, or sharing your body with an expert to perform a physical or mental task.
