- Two story houses are your friend. you can have your tv and radio upstairs turned quiet so wanderers dont hear. Also if a horde does break in you can escape out the window. - if you tune into the life and learning channel at 6a/12p/6pm you can learn skills like carpentry/fishing/cooking/foraging for the first week or so. - Combat is a bitch and clunky - I made a lot of disposable starter characters just to figure out aiming/ swinging/pushing/stepping on heads. The game is so unforgivable when it comes to bites (there is no honey or antibiotics you are just dead). great weapons if you can find them are baseball bats and crowbars - dont use guns - guns are loud and bring the whole neighborhood - to get out started fishing you can forage for branches and then turn it into a spear for fishing purposes. great starter to get skills up. (you can worry about fishing rod and tackle for later). higher rate to catch from 4am-6am and 6pm-8pm. - know that all complex objects in the world are found not made. also everything has wear. you can repair it but they will eventually break. - look for keys around cars - if you are lucky the car will run as well. remember your gas station locations so you can fill up (as well as gassing generators). you can also hotwire cars if you have the skill or profession. - spoiler alert but this is a great map to reference (if you looking for that farm house in the middle of nowhere/library/hardware store or other: https://map.projectzomboid.com/ I had a really nice setup once in an office building where all the living space and food storage/library was on the second floor and a garden on the roof along with rain catchers and generator for power when the power eventually shut off. Sadly they did a big patch that reset the world so i put it on the shelf and went back to 7 days. Was fun seeing you play zomboid. keep the content coming.
