A Little Idea I'm Working On!

HELLO GUYS!

This thing has appeared in a few of my recent streams on Twitch and it’s the outline of a little teaching/learning system I’m putting together to ease your color mixing life!

The primaries are meant to be archetypes of that tone, with no specific color or pigment to keep the system universal and “brand free” and the pigments listed for the warm and cold versions of the primaries are there just to have a reference of the look/visual nature of the hue needed.

The general idea is to use different temperatures of the primaries that lean into the features of the secondary tone you want to obtain to mix it. Example: a cold greenish blue and a cold greenish yellow give better, more brilliant greens, or a warm light red plus a warm yellow give a more vibrant orange.

The point is to make you able to mix the perfect tones even without single pigment paints, develop a higher sensibility for the character and features of any color and become able to predict the outcome of a mix using any kind of paint or brand!

I’m having some really good results teaching mixing with this kind of relatively simple angle so give it a try and let me know your feedback!

This of course will become an extensive YouTube video as soon I’ll have a final, super solid vision of this thing ;)

Have a great week!

ps: I'm not disowning the CMYK system, don't worry, this is just a reinterpretation of the same theory. Magenta is still a key point of the working mechanism and again that "Red" on top is the "Red Spectrum" and not a specific, single red ;)

pps: sorry for my bad hand writing lol!
