Hello Grigor!!! Welcome on board and thanks a million for your support, super appreciated! It's been a while since I painted these models, but I'm pretty sure your analysis is correct; a spray from below can do 90% of the work and quickly solve a speed paint session but I always check strange, deep angles where the spray doesn't arrive by itself or simply to make the shadows more progressive and of course the overspray changes a bit temperatures and tones of the surrounding areas!

I just finished priming my custodes and I gave it a go with the same exact techniques you use in the bright yellowish gold. On my test model I notice that the gold color itself is extremely pale from the top down and very bright yellowish... but the burnt umber ink brings everything together nicely from the bottom up. QUESTION! : In the pictures you posted at the end of video it seems like you didnt just spray the ink like an inverse zenital shadow but you also spray it a bit from the sides and from the top (like around some parts of the shouldergards) and in those pics the gold looks much warmer all around except for the highlights.. Could you confirm thats how you got that final result? as im a little bit confused on how to proceed with mine Thank you!
