When Alicia's version of the animation is released, viewers will learn what Beardslye has been missing. They will discover what is truly happening inside the hall. I have also compiled all the rendered videos together, allowing me to better visualize the entire story and animation progress.

These animations follow a storyboard, but unlike the Beardslye version, which follows a chronological sequence with events occurring on specific days, Alicia's version presents the story from her perspective. Radomira makes an early appearance because I wanted to connect the later storyline with the section I am currently developing.

In the following chapters, the timeline will be set five years after the defeat of the Seven Shields. Kuroinu Chapters One and Two will reminisce about the war between Vult and the Seven Shields before Vult's ultimate betrayal. Though the anime appears to be a group drama, the key character throughout the series is Vult. The story will trace his transformation from a young mercenary with a righteous desire to become a knight into a dark emperor who suddenly disappeared from view, with no one knowing where he is now.

Thomas Beardslye - The Twisted Abyss of Love and Sin

Psychological Core: Pathological Love and Self-Destruction

Beardslye’s psyche revolves around his twisted love for Alicia. He sees her as the light of his life but ultimately betrays her out of selfishness and cowardice. This love fuels him, yet it is also the poison that consumes him. He longs for redemption but instead falls deeper into sin, eventually drowning in remorse and bestiality.

Psychological Details and Changes

Initial Period (The Day the City Falls):

• Possessiveness and Self-Deception: When he betrays the First Fortress, he convinces himself, "It's to protect her. Vult is too strong; she'll die." But deep down, he knows it is possessiveness—wanting to keep Alicia tied to him.

• Guilt Sprouts: Seeing Alicia in Vult's possession, his hands tremble as he internally monologues, "I ruined her... but I can't live without her." When he kisses her, his arousal is both painful and agonizing.

Midterm (Three Days of Carnival):

• A Mix of Pain and Arousal: Overhearing Alicia’s moans, he claws at the wall until his fingernails bleed, screaming internally, "Stop! Don’t touch her!" Yet his body betrays him, and in self-loathing, he secretly indulges in pleasure, whispering, "What the fuck am I?"

• Self-Punishment: Each night, as he helps Alicia bathe, he stares at her wounds and condemns himself: "This is all my fault. I deserve to die." But when Alicia initiates intimacy, he greedily possesses her again, seeking to erase his guilt through lust.

Epilogue (Final Day):

Alicia’s psyche is built upon the conflict between her knighthood’s pride and the humiliation she endures. Raised to uphold duty and honor, she initially suppresses personal feelings, even rejecting Beardslye’s proposal. However, when the First Fortress falls and she is captured by Vult and the mercenaries, her belief system is shattered, and her psychological defenses begin to crumble.

Initial Period (Day of the City's Fall):

• Pride and Anger: Her first reaction is fury and shame. "Where is my sword? How could I let this beast defile me?" She clenches her teeth, attempting to resist the humiliation through sheer willpower.

• A Budding Dependence on Beardslye: When Beardslye kisses her, she forces herself to grab onto this lifeline, struggling internally: "He betrayed his country, but he’s the only one who can protect Prim. It doesn’t matter if I sacrifice myself—I have to protect her." This conflict causes her both to despise and rely on him.

Midterm (Three Days of Carnival):

• Numbness and Ego Split: The relentless torment drives her to the brink of madness. Her mind splits—one part remains a knight, fantasizing about reclaiming her sword and slaying her captors, while the other succumbs to physical submission. She whispers to herself, "This is not me. This is just my shell."

• Love Obsession: Nightly intimacy with Beardslye becomes her last emotional anchor. As she takes initiative, she internally pleads, "As long as he loves me, I still have a soul." Yet this dependence only deepens her misery, as she knows her body is no longer her own.
